Summer Travels

Greetings from your friends at Invested Faith!

Antajuan Adams of New Roots Urban Farm and Pastor Amy at the farm in St. Louis, MO

Thank you all for your continued enthusiasm for the work of Invested Faith. Very soon you will meet our newest class of Fellows and learn more about growing church partnerships.

We need YOU to help us spread the word about all the hope being birthed through the work of Invested Faith; would you take a moment to share this update with a friend who might be interested or a church looking for hopeful legacy options? Together we are making a difference by spreading seeds of hope, promise and future!

I am grateful to be in this journey with you!

With God’s peace,

Making New Friends

The Invested Faith Team explored the St. Louis community in July, visiting with churches, talking with local social entrepreneurs, and making new friends all round.

Pastor Amy preached at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Ferguson and we enjoyed getting to know many of the church members. Partnerships with churches and other organizations are vital to our work at Invested Faith and we are happy to have conversations about innovative ways churches can be involved.

The IF team donned gardening gloves as we visited New Roots Urban Farm and talked with social entrepreneurs Antajuan Adams and Mina Aria about food apartheid and their community garden, which was damaged this summer by a fire that destroyed a church next door. Faith-rooted social entrepreneurs are the heart and soul of Invested Faith and we are always inspired by their passion for this justice work. Read Pastor Amy's account of the visit in her regular column at Good Faith Media.

Pre-order Pastor Amy's book, Beautiful and Terrible Things: Faith, Doubt, and Discovering a Way Back to Each Other. You can preorder the book online and October 3 the book will be on the shelves! For the month of October Pastor Amy will be traveling, speaking, and preaching all over; bookmark her schedule to see about connecting somewhere near you!

Introduce us!
Maybe you know someone who fits our criteria for an Invested Faith Fellow: rooted in faith, working for justice and addressing systemic problems in their community while building a sustainable financial model? At Invested Faith, we don't do typical grant applications. Read more about our criteria and how to apply here.

Match a grant. If your organization would like to partner with us to support an Invested Faith Fellow and build the work of Invested Faith, please reach out. We would love to talk!
